Collected Data

To import Revolut expenses into bexio, the data we keep includes:

• The transaction ID
• The transaction date
• Your email address (for authentication)

When you open the video tutorial in the application while signed in, we record its opening, language, time with the window open and visible, visible playback time and the latest positions reached. These measurements support customer assistance; they appear in our internal history and may be used in the support AI assistant’s pseudonymised context. They do not establish understanding of the content. Past views and anonymous or direct video-file views are not reconstructed.

Data Sharing

We commit to never:

• Sell your personal data
• Share your data for advertising measurement without your consent
• Use the content of your bank transactions or receipts for advertising
• Keep your data longer than necessary

The data we keep includes:

• Your email (for authentication)
• Transaction IDs (to avoid duplicates)
• Transaction dates (for tracking)

In addition to the providers and processing described on this page, sharing data may be necessary in the following cases:

Third-Party Services

Bexio

Our application requires access to your bexio account to function. The security of your access is our priority: we apply strict security protocols and advanced protection methods to ensure the confidentiality of your access data.

This secure connection only allows us to:

• Access your accounts for expense import
• Create accounting entries on your behalf

Revolut

We have no direct access to your Revolut account. The only data we can access is what you manually import through our interface.

For each imported transaction, we only keep:

• The unique transaction ID
• The transaction date

This information is stored for a specific purpose:

• To count the number of transactions imported for your account
• To avoid duplicating the same transaction in bexio

All other data from your Revolut transactions (amounts, descriptions, categories, etc.) are:

• Used only during import to bexio
• Immediately deleted after processing
• Never permanently stored on our servers

Stripe

We use Stripe to securely process your payments. When you make a payment:

• Your payment information is directly transmitted to Stripe
• We never store your credit card information
• We only receive a payment confirmation from Stripe

For each payment, we keep the following information:

• The payment amount
• The transaction date
• The number of transactions purchased
• The unit price per transaction
• The payment status

This information is kept for:

• Managing your available transaction balance
• Providing you with a purchase history
• Ensuring customer support when needed
• Meeting our legal obligations in terms of accounting

OpenAI — accounting classification

We offer an optional automatic classification feature powered by artificial intelligence (AI), using OpenAI. When you enable this option:

• AI analyzes your transactions to automatically suggest the appropriate Bexio accounting account
• AI can generate concise and professional accounting descriptions
• This feature is optional and in BETA — you can enable or disable it at any time

Data sent to OpenAI (strictly limited):

• The merchant name (e.g., "Migros", "Swisscom")
• The transaction amount
• The transaction currency (CHF, EUR, etc.)
• The description annotated for the expense in Revolut (if present) — this field is transmitted to OpenAI during classification. We recommend not including any personal or confidential data in it

We do not deliberately transmit to OpenAI:

• Your name or identity
• Your credit card number or payment information
• Your email address or account data

We use the OpenAI API for classification. Data is not used for training by default. Retention periods and exceptions depend on the terms and settings of that service. OpenAI data and retention controls.
